Description

This two day course is a tailored course in Scrum for ESS, providing you with an understanding of what agile is, why agile is great and when to use it. The focus will be on Scrum, giving you the tools and techniques to work with agile in practice.

This course will cover the following:

• Why, when and how to be agile

• Introduction to Scrum methodology, terminology and application

• Real life experience from application of Scrum in large projects
• Practical exercises in how to use Scrum
• Practical exercises in how to effectively use Jira in Scrum projects
• Linking waterfall projects to Scrum teams
• How to measure progress in Scrum
• Dangers and pitfalls in the application of Scrum

The course does not require any preparations, but it is good to think through what you believe could be improved in your current ways of working.
