The fifth installment of DENIM (Design and Engineering of Neutron Instruments Meeting) will be hosted by the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden. In Budapest 2015, the event gathered more than 130 engineers from 15 facilities all around the world. In 2016 we are expecting 150 engineers to be present when we host the fifth annual DENIM conference in Lund between 19-21 September.
The aim of the meeting is to share knowledge and experiences between neutron scattering facilities and institutes. The conference is firmly focused on engineering of neutron instruments as opposed to scientific aspects. This includes (but is not limited to) the following topic areas:
- Choppers
- Shielding
- Beam slit systems
- Collimators
- Motion control and mechanics
- Vacuum systems
- Detectors
- Project management
We want to keep the conference free for participants, in order to do this we are seeking help from sponsors. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your services to the neutron scattering community, and in particular the people who are building and upgrading neutron instruments in the coming years.
