A workshop to bring together researchers in the nordic region interested in theoretical and experimental aspects of electronic phenomena:

Novel ferromagnets, Magnetic nanoparticles, Magnetic refrigeration, Quantum magnetism, Magnetic Frustration, Multiferroic materials, Unconventional superconductivity, Spintronics, Novel Techniques

A network in this scientific area will be an excellent platform for knowledge transfer. By bringing the different research communities together there is a great potential for future collaboration that develops scientific excellence in the nordic area. The collaborations will eventually benefit enormously from the large scale facilities the region will have to offer, ESS and Max IV. The resultant collaborations will be of great benefit to Ph.D. and early stage researchers

Invited speakers include:

Prof. J.P. Goff, Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.
Prof. P. Oppeneer, Uppsala University, Sweden.
Prof. A. Boothroyd, Oxford University, UK.
Dr. F. Yakhou, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Grenoble, France.
Assoc. Prof. Dimitri Arvanitis, Uppsala University, Sweden.
Prof. P. Henelius, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
Prof. B. Lake, Berlin Technical University & Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin, Germany.
Prof. M. Kenzelmann, Paul Scherrer Institut, Switzerland.
Assoc. Prof. M. Beleggia, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark.
