The research infrastructures community in Europe is organizing a reception to honour the work Robert-Jan Smits has put in over many years to advance European science. The event will take place on 10 September 2018 in the Naturhistorisches Museum (Natural History Museum) in Vienna, Austria. It will bring together representatives of research infrastructures, ERICs, and ESFRI delegates and chairs. The program will include short talks reflecting the viewpoints and experience from some of the many research infrastructures and groups that Robert-Jan Smits worked with during his long-term service to European research and science.
