Early Science on the NMX Macromolecular Diffractometer

Europe/Stockholm
Description

The European Spallation Source (ESS)  in Lund, Sweden, is expected to be available for first experiments in 2026. The NMX Macromolecular Diffractometer will be part of the initial instrument suite, opening new opportunities for neutron macromolecular crystallography in Europe.

In this workshop we aim to bring together European protein crystallographers interested in using neutrons to discuss the potential at ESS as well as the current bottlenecks involved in neutron crystallography. The workshop will include presentations from ESS scientists, highlights from neutron users and method developers and a panel discussion with experts.
