Opening of New Offices

The European Spallation Source ERIC (ESS) and the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science will celebrate the move of ESS employees into the DMSC permanent offices, bridging the Öresund and connecting the ESS facilities in Lund with the DMSC in Copenhagen.

The Data Management and Software Centre is an integral part of ESS with a mission to support the scientific research programme. The DMSC will use the techniques and methods of scientific computing to facilitate, enable and advance the scientific research to be carried out on the ESS neutron beam instruments.

The programme will commence at 11:00 with an Address of Congratulations by Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science Ulla Tørnæs followed by ESS Director for Science Andreas Schreyer for the ceremonial presentation of the DMSC Door Plate. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at noon.
